That evening, Higino was Hailey, wearing makeup and dressed entirely in black leather and tulle. She looked stunning. She told me about Médusa, the nonprofit she had set up to promote and support drag culture, and here we are, still together on this artistic adventure several months later.

Through this collaboration, I met passionate and fascinating people. Men, women, and everything in between, transforming themselves far from the constraints of the daytime world. Beyond the glitter and sequins, what shines brightest is the energy that inhabits this big family and that everyone shares on stage but also with each other before going on. Through these moments with these magnificent creatures, I wanted to capture these intimate transformations made up of friendship, mutual support, passion, and work. 

This series of photos captures the beauty of what is shared offstage as well as the essence of what this community represents, which can be felt behind the scenes, from the human layer to the glitter. I thank all these people for their exchanges, their laughter, their artistic collaborations, and for letting me capture these moments to share with you.
